Terms of Service
Last updated: 10 October 2026
These Terms govern your use of Flenka. Fuel purchases are also governed by the Fuel Terms of Sale. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
1. Operator
Flenka is operated by Jean-Emmanuel BEILLEVERT, individual entrepreneur, trading as Flenka, 4 allée du Pavillon, 44310 Saint-Philbert-de-Grand-Lieu, France (SIRET 841 735 657 00048). Contact: hello@flenka.com.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 15 years old to use Flenka. You must be at least 18 years old to purchase Fuel. If you act for an organization or another person, you must have authority to do so.
3. The service
Flenka is a desktop environment for preparing, researching and writing scripted YouTube videos and collaborating on related production work. Core and collaboration functions are available without a recurring subscription. Additional operations may require Fuel, as indicated in the application. Fuel is purchased on a one-off basis, with no subscription or mandatory purchase; purchased Fuel has no expiry while the account remains active. Purchases and statutory refund or withdrawal rights are governed by the Fuel Terms of Sale.
Flenka does not guarantee audience growth, revenue, publication outcomes or particular creative results.
4. Google account and YouTube channel
A Google account and at least one authorized YouTube channel connection are required to use Flenka's account features. Google authentication alone does not complete the setup. You authorize the access shown in Google's authorization flow so Flenka can identify and associate each channel you connect using its channel ID, name, handle, profile image and subscriber count. You can connect several channels; each one has its own workspace in Flenka.
You can revoke the authorization in your Google Account. Because channel authorization is a condition of using Flenka, revocation may prevent access to the service until you restore it. Revocation does not itself constitute an account-deletion request. Further Google/YouTube permissions, if introduced, will require appropriate notice and authorization.
You are responsible for securing your Google account and devices and notifying Flenka if you suspect unauthorized access.
5. Your content
You retain your rights in your scripts, research, notes, Sources, Videos, Briefs and other material. You grant Flenka a limited right to store, synchronize, process and display your material to authorized users as needed to provide the service and features you request.
Flenka does not acquire ownership of your content or a general licence to use private material for advertising or public demonstrations. You must have the necessary rights to material you import or share.
6. Privacy and collaboration
Content is private by default. Collaboration access is controlled by the permissions applicable to the relevant work. Sharing a Brief does not automatically grant access to every underlying project file. Revoking access stops subsequent authorized access through Flenka but cannot retract copies already exported by a collaborator.
Personal-data processing is explained in the Privacy Policy.
7. Local search and AI operations
Flenka provides local semantic search across material available in the desktop application. This AI processing runs on your computer and does not transmit the search material to an external AI provider for inference or model training.
Separate Fuel-funded operations may involve external AI services. The operation and applicable Fuel charge will be presented before you choose to run it. Any generated output should be reviewed before you rely on or publish it. Flenka does not automatically publish AI output on your behalf.
8. Acceptable use
You must not use Flenka to infringe rights, distribute malware, commit fraud, bypass access controls, interfere with the service or engage in unlawful activity. You remain responsible for material you submit and for your editorial decisions.
9. Service protection and availability
Flenka may proportionately restrict access when necessary to address security threats, fraud, serious violations of these Terms or legal obligations. Flenka may update features and cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Changes affecting paid rights remain subject to applicable law.
10. Export and account deletion
You may request access to or export of your data as provided by applicable law and available product features. You may request account deletion. A 30-day recovery period may apply before deletion from active systems; the Privacy Policy explains data retention and legally required records.
11. Third-party services
Flenka uses Google authentication and YouTube API Services and relies on technical infrastructure and payment services. Third-party services have their own terms. Their involvement does not remove Flenka's mandatory legal obligations.
12. Intellectual property
Flenka and its licensors retain their rights in the software, brand, interface and original documentation. Your right to use the service does not transfer those rights to you.
13. Liability and consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability or consumer protections that cannot lawfully be excluded. You remain responsible for reviewing creative material and for decisions about publication or use of AI-generated suggestions.
14. Changes
Flenka may revise these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated appropriately and will not retroactively remove mandatory rights acquired under an earlier version.
15. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by French law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections applicable in their country of residence. For enquiries or complaints, contact hello@flenka.com. Consumer purchases and related remedies are addressed in the Fuel Terms of Sale.
